Our Directors

Kathy McCameron

Executive Director

Kathy McCameron has been the Executive Director for our Oak Ridge location since its inception. She started with us in May of 2013. She has been able to build an incredible team of leaders to assist with the oversight of our community. Kathy started her career in healthcare as a CNA (certified nursing assistant)in 1990. While she loved the work she found that CNA were not always treated well by their nurses. She thought if she ever became a nurse she would treat the CNAs better, and she did starting in January of 1994. As a nurse Kathy knew she made it a better day for the residents she cared for. However, she felt like to impact the residents and staff more she needed to take on more responsibility. During her years in healthcare she served as a floor nurse, supervisor, Assistant Director of Nursing and Director of Nursing. In 2006 Kathy was asked to except the position of Executive Director in Assisted living. She has not looked back since taking that position. Kathy and her team continues to try and find ways to better serve Canterfield of Oak Ridge. She has been able to build and maintain one of the strongest teams in Assisted living. Her “Right always wins” philosophy has take this community from good to great! Just ask any of the residents and family members at Canterfield of Oak.
